ramblings...!

Can you believe someone wrote this?

Writing is hard

Shakespear was an inside job.

Turns out writing these incredible thoughts in my head doesn't make them more incredible. In fact, sometimes I doubt if there's anything going on in my mind and I'm not just

Sucks to find out why we pay writers, and why technical writing is a course in uni. It is scientifcally proven that writing more than two sentences is physically impossible. Books are a hoax and never existed.

Still, I do find it relaxing, sitting on a desk with a cup of something hot, looking outside the window into the nightsky, typing away at something of my own creation

لكن يا ليتني كنت أحسن بلغتي الأم.

Yeah no VS Code isn't made for right to left text. I'll stick to latin script for now.

Anyways, here's a markdown page

It looks nice as long as you don't take of the lid

The backend is a mess. There's a folder full of markdown pages, and a python script that compiles the markdown files into html and emits them into the public directory. I get to preview them with a local server before pushing them to server. I just did pip install markdown and used whatever that got me, because compiling markdown is impossible.

Honestly, my setup isn't that bad, and I do like the feeling of telling others that I own a site and actually know how it's done. But I can see why Wordpress and other blogging websites are popular. No one wants to run a server and deal with the horribleness that goes on on a webmaster's work directory.

Fun fact: Yahoo says don't include the period in links. At least according to this dude on stack exchange.
